After spending nine years as a Cardiovascular Technologist, I knew I wanted to grow into a career that would allow me to leverage my clinical experience in a new way. I am thrilled to announce I have accepted a role with Boston Scientific as an Associate Territory Manager in Interventional Cardiology.

The EYS Program was instrumental in helping navigate the process of breaking into medical device sales. I came into the program without a medical background, just determination, grit, an ambitious mindset and a desire to help people in a massive way. That is what drove me to a career in medical sales and there was nothing but support from the EYS team. I remember reading all these recommendations like it was yesterday. I couldn’t believe all the stories. Couldn’t believe Samuel’s program worked- until I finally made the jump and committed to it.

Now I’ve gotten a medical sales role! I was a clinician and small practice owner for 15 years looking to do something different for my career. I had tried applying to different places but would never hear back. Tried listening to the podcasts and reading posts about the field. I felt deep down I had the ability to do this, and was willing to work at it, but just wasn’t getting an opportunity and had no idea where to start. I knew I needed help.

I just got a job offer from Globus Medical! I had previously been employed as a Special Education Teacher. I want to thank Samuel and the Evolve Career Builder. I was able to get a few interviews prior to getting the service, but unable to secure an offer. Samuel and the team changed all that!

I’m so excited to announce I’ve started with Neuronetics as a Traveling Associate Practice Development manager! With my passion for holistic health and my background in mental health and substance use, i truly feel like this is the perfect fit. I couldn’t be more passionate about what we offer and can’t wait to make a difference.

Before joining Neuronetics, I spent eight years working in mental health and substance use treatment facilities. Alongside that, I’ve been in the service industry—bartending and working various roles—on and off since I was old enough to work. My experience includes residential care, field work, and independent contracting, where I developed and delivered group therapy curriculums for outpatient programs. Most recently, I helped launch a startup recovery center, serving as the lead case manager and group facilitator, while also taking on the many responsibilities that come with building something from the ground up.

Life before the MSCB program felt stagnant. I knew I didn’t want to pursue a master’s degree to become a therapist, and because of that, I felt like I had hit a ceiling in terms of growth in the mental health field. In early 2024, some friends introduced me to the medical device industry, thinking it might be a good fit. At the time, I was exhausted from juggling bartending and case management just to make ends meet, and I felt completely stuck in the career path I had chosen.

Curious and hopeful, I started diving deep–listening to all of Samuel’s podcasts and researching different divisions within the medical device space. That’s when I discovered a strong interest in neuromodulation, chronic pain management, and TMS. I went through a few interview processes and made it to the final stages each time, but I wasn’t landing any offers.

It wasn’t until I attended a networking event and met April from EYS that things shifted. She introduced me to the MSCB program. Knowing the power of mentorship and community, I didn’t hesitate to join.

Going through the program, I built invaluable relationships and lifelong friendships, while also gaining a tremendous amount of confidence in myself. MSCB provided the tools and resources I needed to take my transferable skills and apply them directly to the medical device industry—specifically in divisions that aligned with my strengths and interests. Prior to transitioning into the medical device industry, I was a surgical tech for 9 years. I’m thrilled to share that l have accepted a position with as a Territory Specialist. My background has been in nursing, everything from the operating room to bedside care. Taking this step into medical sales I had no idea where to start which is how I stumbled across Evolve Your Success.

I am thrilled to announce I just stepped into a new role as an Associate Clinical Representative with . I want to thank the Medical Sales Career Builder (MSCB), this wouldn’t have been possible without them!

Previously I worked as an occupational therapist in an acute care setting. And before that, as a freelance photographer. I’ve made big career jumps before, but I wanted to be more intentional and prepared this time. In school, I remember learning about emerging technologies and the valuable role that OT’s can play in non-clinical spaces, given our unique training. However, I had no idea how to grow beyond the clinic. 

Before enrolling in the Medical Sales Career Builder program, I didn’t even know what I didn’t know. I was listening to podcasts, reading blog posts, and taking inconsistent shots in the dark for networking. My biggest hesitation to sign up for coaching was committing myself to a goal when I didn’t yet have a clear direction in mind.

My background has been in nursing, everything from bedside care to travel nursing and IV clinic work; stepping into medical sales felt like uncharted territory. Huge thanks to mentors like Nidhi, Blake, Jules, Shawna, and Aaron, who supported me throughout this journey and are people who genuinely care. 

Before this, I barely knew where to start. I had friends in pharma sales but wasn’t familiar with the broader field of medical device sales or how many opportunities it offered. I wanted a way to continue helping patients in a new capacity, but I didn’t know how to approach the interview process, understand different companies, or even determine the right path within medical sales for my skills and goals.

EYS was like a roadmap, breaking down each step in a way that felt almost like solving a puzzle. They helped me recognize how my clinical background as an RN is full of transferable skills that are valuable in medical sales. The program also laid out the companies, roles, and key industry players that aligned with my experience and interests, giving me the knowledge and confidence to navigate interviews successfully.

One year ago, I was a registered nurse in the Emergency Department here in Columbus, OH, when Samuel from Evolve Success reached out to me. His question was simple: “Have you ever considered a career in medical devices?” The truth was, I had.

So, I declared that asking for help was not a sign of weakness. In fact, I firmly believe today that seeking the wisdom of others is the ultimate sign of strength.

I am a former teacher with some sales experience, and switching to medical sales felt like an impossible leap. For about two years, I applied for medical sales jobs, but I didn’t even get a single interview. I tried applying directly on LinkedIn, but that didn’t work. Before I started the program I thought I would be able to transition into medical device sales with relative ease, however it was taking longer than I had hoped for. After a few months of constant job applications, I couldn’t get in front of someone to actually talk to and show them what I have to offer. I couldn’t even get a phone interview. So finally after a few months, I decided to write back to Samuel asking what those 3 things might be to improve my LinkedIn profile, and hear more about what he had to offer.

I was still pretty hesitant to sign up for the program though, considering the fact I’m a doctor myself, I know have great people skills, I make meaningful connections with people, and I have the ability to learn almost anything. Ultimately though, it was exactly what I needed.

The program really helped me polish the way I presented myself, and helped me gain confidence during the interview process. It really helped me get a better understanding of the sales world, and taught me how to do meaningful networking.

I just started a new role as a senior clinical specialist at Medtronic in the Deep Brain Stimulation division!

My previous role was a neuro occupational therapist, working on a specialized brain injury unit. I truly loved my work as an OT, however I didn’t see much growth opportunity in this career. I love to work hard and, unfortunately, there are limited opportunities to achieve new goals and experience new challenges in this type of role, along with limited incentives to work hard.

Before joining the Medical Sales Career Builder program, I was applying for jobs that, in hindsight, were a poor fit based on my background and interests. I didn’t even know neuromodulation existed before joining MSCB and I’m so grateful for the extensive education I received on the potential avenues to explore within the medical sales industry. Before joining the program, I was searching for jobs on LinkedIn with no clear direction or foundational knowledge about the subdivisions within each industry or the type of work involved with each role.

After working as a nurse for 9 years, I wanted to find a role with more opportunities for growth, not to mention financial stability, but also to make the change in healthcare I became a nurse to do.
