I just got a Laboratory Sales Territory Account Executive offer! In my previous role as a Technical Sales  Representative for Laboratory Consumables, I was ready to take the next step in my career. I was struggling to stay motivated, having a hard time marketing myself, and most of all I was lacking direction for my future.

I want to thank the EYS Community and Samuel for welcoming me with open arms and working with me to  land this role. The Medical Sales Career Builder program was the perfect landing spot for me to whip myself into shape mentally and finally gain the confidence to apply for jobs with purpose.

Before joining the EYS Medical Sales Career Builder Program, I wasn’t getting many interviews. It felt like my  resume was disappearing into a black hole within the company’s HR department I spent endless time researching roles and felt pulled in every direction, asking myself “What roles actually fit my personality?” I  read articles, listened to podcasts, and tried to do it all on my own. Then I stumbled across EYS.

A few people in my network were affiliated with the company, so I reached out for honest feedback about  the MSC8 program and EYS as a whole. Frankly, I was skeptical. I already had solid sales experience, and I worried the program was geared more toward people breaking into sales for the first time. I thought “Is this  really going to be a good fit for me?”

To my surprise, the feedback I got was the exact opposite. My colleagues raved about the supportive  community, the extensive course materials, and how the program helped them get aligned with their career goals. I remember reading all these recommendations like it was yesterday. I couldn’t believe all the stories. Couldn’t believe Samuel’s program worked- until I finally made the jump and committed to it.

Now I’ve gotten a medical sales role! I was a clinician and small practice owner for 15 years looking to do something different for my career. I just got a job offer from Globus Medical! I had previously been employed as a Special Education Teacher. I want to thank Samuel and the Evolve Career Builder. I was able to get a few interviews prior to getting the service, but unable to secure an offer. Samuel and the team changed all that!

I tried everything, self guided research, outreach to anyone and everyone for a given roll, listening to podcasts and do it yourself guides, and nothing made a significant difference in the responses I was getting.

Before joining Neuronetics, I spent eight years working in mental health and substance use treatment facilities. Alongside that, I’ve been in the service industry—bartending and working various roles—on and off since I was old enough to work. My experience includes residential care, field work, and independent contracting, where I developed and delivered group therapy curriculums for outpatient programs. Most recently, I helped launch a startup recovery center, serving as the lead case manager and group facilitator, while also taking on the many responsibilities that come with building something from the ground up.

Life before the MSCB program felt stagnant. I knew I didn’t want to pursue a master’s degree to become a therapist, and because of that, I felt like I had hit a ceiling in terms of growth in the mental health field. In early 2024, some friends introduced me to the medical device industry, thinking it might be a good fit. At the time, I was exhausted from juggling bartending and case management just to make ends meet, and I felt completely stuck in the career path I had chosen.

Curious and hopeful, I started diving deep–listening to all of Samuel’s podcasts and researching different divisions within the medical device space. That’s when I discovered a strong interest in neuromodulation, chronic pain management, and TMS. I went through a few interview processes and made it to the final stages each time, but I wasn’t landing any offers.

It wasn’t until I attended a networking event and met April from EYS that things shifted. She introduced me to the MSCB program. Knowing the power of mentorship and community, I didn’t hesitate to join.

Previously I worked as an occupational therapist in an acute care setting. And before that, as a freelance photographer. I’ve made big career jumps before, but I wanted to be more intentional and prepared this time. In school, I remember learning about emerging technologies and the valuable role that OT’s can play in non-clinical spaces, given our unique training. However, I had no idea how to grow beyond the clinic.

Before this, I barely knew where to start. I had friends in pharma sales but wasn’t familiar with the broader field of medical device sales or how many opportunities it offered. I wanted a way to continue helping patients in a new capacity, but I didn’t know how to approach the interview process, understand different companies, or even determine the right path within medical sales for my skills and goals.

EYS was like a roadmap, breaking down each step in a way that felt almost like solving a puzzle. They helped me recognize how my clinical background as an RN is full of transferable skills that are valuable in medical sales. One year ago, I was a registered nurse in the Emergency Department here in Columbus, OH, when Samuel from Evolve Success reached out to me. His question was simple: “Have you ever considered a career in medical devices?” The truth was, I had.

At that time, I was three months into my journey trying to break into the medical device field. I had already “considered” that I no longer wanted to be a bedside nurse. I had also decided that enough was enough.

I’m Now a Medical Territory Manager! I was a Regional Sales Representative for Long-Term Care pharmacy services. I had dreamed of getting into the med sales industry when I went into my career as a nurse, but the pharmacy sales job came to me, and I had just settled. Fortunately, I had a job shakeup that allowed me to determine that now was the time to pursue my original vision. I absolutely would not have this position without Samuel and the Evolve Your Success community. A lot of people my age would just stop trying, but EYS believed in me. EYS allowed me to break into the industry in 90-Days after I had been trying on my own for over two years! I had lots of recruiter screenings, and a few interviews with hiring managers, but I was never offered a position. Before EYS, I didn’t realize I was doing the bare minimum to get hired. I was applying everywhere, hoping to get noticed and waiting. It just wasn’t working! I didn’t know that that was not enough to compete in an industry this sought after, and against people who knew what I didn’t know about the process. I am a former teacher with some sales experience, and switching to medical sales felt like an impossible leap. For about two years, I applied for medical sales jobs, but I didn’t even get a single interview. I tried applying directly on LinkedIn, but that didn’t work. I had heard about EYS, and did some research on it. The biggest criticism I heard was that if you know how to start a conversation with strangers, you shouldn’t have to pay for a program to get you a job. I just got a job as a Territory Representative. I used to be a practicing small animal veterinarian, but I wanted to make a career pivot into medical device sales. Before I started the program I thought I would be able to transition into medical device sales with relative ease, however it was taking longer than I had hoped for. I just started a new role as a senior clinical specialist at Medtronic in the Deep Brain Stimulation division!

My previous role was a neuro occupational therapist, working on a specialized brain injury unit. I truly loved my work as an OT, however I didn’t see much growth opportunity in this career. Before joining the program, I was searching for jobs on LinkedIn with no clear direction or foundational knowledge about the subdivisions within each industry or the type of work involved with each role.

I just accepted a new role as a Clinical Specialist in Deep Brain Stimulation at Medtronic! Previously, I was a Physical Therapist working in an inpatient rehab facility primarily working with the neuro population. I am thrilled to announce that I have taken on a new professional challenge as I have accepted a role as Territory Manager with Zynex Medical. This opportunity comes after 2 ½ years of diligent applying and searching. My career as a physical therapist has spanned the last three decades, and though I have always enjoyed working with patients, I had been feeling burnt out and desperately wanting a change.

In August 2021, I completed my MBA, believing it would be a game changer in my job search. However, despite this new qualification, my application was often one of hundreds from very well-qualified candidates, and I faced rejection countless times. I wish I knew then what I know now.

I am a recent Purdue graduate with a B.S. degree in biology and a minor in business management and entrepreneurship. For the past 10 years I have worked for Rainmaker irrigation as a service technician for 6 years and an outside sales rep for 4 years. With my passion for biology and innovative healthcare technologies combined with the customer service and outside sales skills I developed at Rainmaker, I always knew I wanted to transition into the medical sales industry. My dream of breaking into the medical sales industry has been made true because of my hard work and persistence along with the support from Samuel and his team at EYS.

I am so thankful for Samuel Adeyinka’s Medical Sales Career Builder program and all the EYS mentors, because this wouldn’t have been possible without them. After seven years working as a registered nurse in various fields, I found myself at a crossroads, yearning for professional advancement and financial security. After working as a nurse for 9 years, I wanted to find a role with more opportunities for growth, not to mention financial stability, but also to make the change in healthcare I became a nurse to do.
